Wing Chun Dynamics is the culmination of over thirty years of martial arts training and experience by it’s founder and master, Sifu David Taylor. As it’s name suggests, the system’s roots are found in the Wing Chun style of Chinese Kung-fu, keeping the systems principles of triangle theory and centre-line theory at it’s core.
combining traditional wing chun kung-fu and shaolin energy training, Wing Chun Dynamics is a short range self defence system, employing several key concepts; sensitivity, hand speed, flow, reflexes, coordination, energy, footwork and how to create and use angles.Wing Chun emphasises and utilises natural and efficient body mechanics, eliminating the necessity to use and rely on size and strength and is therefore suitable for anybody, regardless of age, gender, or physique. No expensive equipment is needed to start training, just a good pair of trainers and a willingness to learn.

While Wing Chun Dynamics shares basic principles with the southern style of kung-fu, it is as different as it is similar from traditional Wing Chun.  Through his years of experience and dedication Master Taylor has come to understand that the traditional Wing Chun system needed to be adapted to suit western practitioners of kung-fu, and in doing so has developed Wing Chun Dynamics, a unique self defence system incorporating confidence, self awareness and positive health training!

Wing Chun is a logical, scientific, yet simple Chinese martial art system, which was developed for practical and effective self-defence. It is a result oriented martial art known for its efficiency and economy of movement based upon the natural body mechanics of the human musculo-skeletal framework. The Wing Chun system is often classed as a 'soft style' because of the minimal effort or physical force required to overcome larger, stronger opponents. The style uses punches, palm strikes, elbows, kicks, trapping and control techniques as part of its fighting arsenal.

It was developed for survival, self-defence and damage limitation, rather than for purely attack or for aesthetic appeal. Wing Chun uses simple and direct short range simultaneous attack and defence hand techniques, low kicks and simple but evasive footwork, and a logical, scientific methodology. The student must learn to deliver the correct amount of energy or force, whilst staying relaxed when possible.
